Here now is the advance single from the album. Click play. In addition to being The Calculus Affair's effort for the 2008 RPM Challenge, [Bad Quarto] is also an E.P. which heralds the release of a future album of epic scope: one song for each of Shakespeare's plays (37 or 38, depending upon whom you read). If you are a fan of The Calculus Affair, and you enjoy excessively long albums that sound like they fell out of 1977, keep an eye peeled.

And now, the long (for an entirely abstract and arbitrary definition of the word, "long") awaited (for a definition of "awaited" etc. etc.) downloadable mp3 version of "bad quarto*".

Duke Of The Stratosphere

Every Day

Bone & Matter

Rude Mechanicals

The Archer

Prince Of Tyre

The Mob

Hell & Night

Q.E. This album is tentatively to be released on the Hear Music label in the fall (though this is the music business, so that promise is essentially meaningless until the album actually comes out). In the meantime, it can be streamed here.

A more empassioned plea for you (yes, you) to buy these albums can be found here. The Calculus Affair again thanks you for your time.Transient Gadflyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10313323030838183737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4763785451090267741.post-38953630015534821392007-06-13T13:37:00.000-07:002007-06-13T23:46:50.603-07:00Music. Makes The People. Come Together.I haven't really decided what I'm doing with this blog. I owned the domain name for my band, I needed a homepage for it, Blogger is easy, &c., &c. Almost all my regular updates, however, will come from my main blog, The Odds Are One.

In February I participated in the RPM Challenge, and recorded an album of songs in a month. It was

a) The first real release of any kind by the Calculus Affair, and
b) Very, very rough.

Therefore I spent odd hours during the next couple of months trying to fix the horrendous mistakes, off-key singing, and bad mixing. The results, and various other elements of musical detritus, can be found from the "Songs" link at right. "The Man Who Used To Hunt Cougars For Bounty," also linked at right, is so far my most popular song (for a definition of "popular" that means, "some of my friends liked it").

I had some long spiel about the future of music and sharing and...no, no I really didn't. I hope you'll follow the links, download, and share. The Calculus Affair thanks you for listening.

Sincerely,
The Calculus AffairTransient Gadflyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10313323030838183737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4763785451090267741.post-3196011395735267212007-05-17T16:54:00.000-07:002007-05-17T16:55:58.330-07:00WelcomeThe Calculus Affair is the least famous band ever to hail from Bellingham, Washington.
